Born and raised in New Jersey, Kayli has always had a passion for creativity and science. She pursued her academic interests at the University of Delaware, where she earned a degree in chemistry with a minor in art. During her time there, she explored various art forms, including ceramics and oil painting.
Currently, Kayli resides in Fort Myers, with a full-time job in Bonita Springs as a formulation chemist creating skincare products. This role allows her to blend her scientific expertise with her artistic sensibilities. Despite the demands of her career, she remains dedicated to her art, finding time to create diverse pieces ranging from acrylics and watercolors to gouache, woodburning, and special effects makeup, with a particular fondness for Halloween-themed projects.
Kayli's personal life is enriched by her two young sons and a loving husband. "Peppy's Paints" is named after her husband's high school nickname, Peppy (a humorous version of Perino). Kayli and her husband met back in middle school, and she credits him as the reason she is where she is at this point in her life. However, their journey has not been without challenges. The family suffered a significant loss during Hurricane Ian, which destroyed their home and most of her artwork dating back to middle school. Despite this tragedy, she has found resilience and is now able to return to her artistic pursuits with renewed vigor and passion.
An avid animal lover, Kayli actively supports numerous animal rescues. Her compassion for animals is evident in her own home, where she has two rescue dogs named Max and Ruby, who have become beloved members of her family. This love for animals also shines through in her artwork, as her favorite subjects to paint are the diverse and beautiful creatures of the animal kingdom.
Kayli extends her heartfelt gratitude to all those who support her artwork, allowing her to continue pursuing her passion and sharing her unique vision with the world.
